Mount Shasta, a majestic peak located on the California coast of North America, is an incredibly well-known center for energy and transformation among the New Age community.

From Charis: The first time I became aware of Mount Shasta at all was a few years ago on a drive down the West Coast, on my way to Los Angeles, CA from Portland, OR. While driving (I love road trips and am usually alert and enjoying the views, especially in a place as beautiful as Cali,) I saw a gorgeous white-capped mountain standing proudly in a flat plain ahead of me in the distance. I didn't know what the mountain was - and in my opinion, a mountain didn't make much sense standing there in the middle of the flat plain anyway (aren't mountains generally part of ranges?) Anyway, it didn't seem that the road I was on would cross the mountain, so I just gazed at it in awe as it grew ever larger on the horizon.
Eventually, my road did pass over Mount Shasta. And as I drove the winding path up one side of the beautifully forested mountain and down the other, I was completely overwhelmed. I experienced energy surges going through every layer of my body and aura unlike any others that I'd ever experienced - and that's saying something, as I'm an intuitive and energy worker, and have been for many years. I was crying, gasping for breath, and yet at the same time surrounded by the strongest, sweetest feeling of finally coming "home" in a way that I'd never experienced in this incarnation here on Earth. I had no idea what it was all about, but it left an impact on me, to say the least.
Time passed after I arrived in Los Angeles, and in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I almost instantly forgot about my intense experience on the mountain that day. About four months later, I was taken through a past life regression where I recalled a lifetime several thousand years ago, as an alien-human hybrid coming to Earth to help with the planet's biorhythms. I worked and lived in a network of large underground chambers with giant, intelligent crystals in them that connected with similar other crystal-filled chambers around the globe. Where was this chamber where I spent my life in that long-ago time? You guessed it - beneath Mount Shasta.
Of course after this I did several of what I call "information binges" on this place, and discovered that it is absolutely rich in ancient and modern day myth and legend, ranging from alien stories to legends of Lemurian people resettling under the mountain and, last but not least (and this is an entirely different "can of worms") the mountain being a possible entrance point to the inner realms of what some see as our Hollow Earth.
Nowadays, LOTS of us in the metaphysical and esoteric community feel a nearly irresistible draw to go spend time on the mountain. So when the synchronicities in my life presented me with an opportunity to facilitate a retreat in this magical place, of course I jumped at the opportunity!
